Where
to see Spicemill hovawarts in 2008? NewsMarch
2008: Venka is now a level-3 NSARDA dog James and Venka (Pines Piccolo
avec Spicemill) have done it again. They took their level 3-area assessment for
NSARDA (National Search & Rescue Dog Association) and passed. This qualification
is valid for 3 years and means that James and Venka are now operational to search
larger area, such as woodlands. We are very proud of Venka, who is still the only
hovawart and the only dog in Kent to hold a NSARDA qualification. She absolutely
loves it and is a pleasure to watch working. We hope her achievements will motivate
more people to join search & rescue teams with their hovawarts, or any other
dogs for that matters. We are very grateful to the local press who covered
the news of Venka's qualification, thus helping us promoting the work of all the
volunteers who participate in Search & Rescue operations. Venka was in the
Westerham Chronicle (20 March - p.3), the Saturday
Observer (22 March - p.5), on the front page of the Westerham & county
border news (27 March) and on ITV
Meridian (25 March - lunch and evening news). Well done Venka!
