Born
Pines Piccolo on 5 July 2004, this hovawart girl became our little Venka when
we welcomed her in our home on 27 August 2004.
She
is a wonderful all round dog. Showing? Well, she won a class at her first ever
Crufts. Working? She is an operational search & rescue dog. Living with her?
She is very cuddly and is the mascott at James' office where she goes regularly
and has been trained to fetch the paper from the printer. Breeding? She gaves
us the wonderful "Spices" litter in 2007 of healthy puppies with excellent
temperament and she did all again in 2009 with the America litter.
But
those who know Venka well know that it is when working that she is at her best.
Like all hovawarts, she has an excellent nose and she loves her work. Venka is
currently the only hovawart and the only dog in Kent with a NSARDA level-3 qualification
(National Search & Rescue Dog Association). We hope her achievments will motivate
other people to work with their hovawarts. They love it!
