We believe we offer a lot and we are very concerned with the welfare of our puppies. We will therefore carefully select the homes where our puppies go to. We will do everything we can to ensure you and your hovie become and stay great friends for the rest of its life. Therefore, if you are interested in owning a Spicemill puppy, we will ask you to provide us with some background information about your lifestyle and situation when you contact us. We will need to know:

• Who will the puppy be living with?
  Please specify the age of the children and let us know of any other animals.
• How often and how long for will the puppy be with human company?
  We do not expect anybody to be able to always be at home, but we need to understand the situation. If it is different depending on the day of the week, or during terms, please specify.
• What exercise and stimulation will the dog have?
• Have you owned a dog before?
  Please tell us more about your previous experience with dogs or with other animals if it may be relevant.
• Do you have any specific expectations?
  Do you intend to work with your dog? To show?
• Please also let us know if you have any preference between a male and a female and whether you want a specific colour. If you don't know yet, don't worry, this can be discussed at a later date.

Even if there are situations that we would find unsuitable for our puppies, please try not to see this in terms of right and wrong answers. Some lines are livelier than others, some have better working abilities and there may also be differences between 2 puppies from the same litter. Knowing your situation and your expectations is extremely helpful to advise you on which litter to get a puppy from and then to match the right puppy with the right owner within a litter.
